- Raffles is the real founder of Singapore as all the history textbooks say so. He also has a statue, many have known Raffles since young but not knowing Farquar and Crawfurd, Raffles also has an MRT station under his name, and Farqhuar and Crawfurd do not have. Farqhuar was Raffles' assistant and could not be a founder ahead of his master. Crawfurd was the 2nd resident in Singapore and therefore was only behind the scenes, not founding Singapore.
